Dr Ted Boyce

Dr Ted Boyce has been the Principal of Pacific Hills Christian School since 1985. The School presently has over 1200 students. The school is situated at Dural, New South Wales, a short drive North West of Sydney. Born in Brisbane, Queensland, Ted trained at Armidale Teachers College and has a certificate in teaching children with learning difficulties.

As a reflection of Ted’s concern for such children, Pacific Hills continues to enrol students with additional support needs. It is Ted’s belief that placing children with disabilities in mainstream classes teaches all students tolerance and acceptance of each other.

Ted is an advisor in education to governments of Great Britain, China, Western Samoa, Canada, South Africa, Kenya and Australia.

While Ted has been Principal of Pacific Hills he has had a worldwide vision for Christian Education. His Bachelor of Arts and Master’s in Education degrees were obtained when he studied at Sydney University and his Doctor of Philosophy comes from the University of Alberta, Canada. He has also been recognised in Government circles for his contribution to Christian Education insofar as he was awarded the Order of Australia in the year 2000 for his service to education particularly Christian Education.

Ted can always be seen among people and enjoying every moment of it. He likes nothing better than sharing a meal with friends of which he has a wide circle and especially a Chinese meal with them. His favourite author being Saint Augustine, Ted will quickly delve into a discussion of Augustine’s educational views.
Ted is widely traveled having sought to spread his views on Christian Education on every continent. He is also an elder in his local church, West Pennant Hills Community Church.
